how?

How am I going to use the MP3 player? Music, all the way! I'm not a big fan of audio books, I prefer to read a book. So yeah, that is going to be my main use for it. YAY!!!!! Thanks OCLS. One of the many reasons that we rock!

music downloads

To pay or not to pay? Hmmmm, I'm all about the free. I'll admit, I am one that is quick to run home and download a song that I just heard on the radio that I liked. I understand the artist has to make a living, but I have to agree with many out there that say why pay $14-$15 for a CD that probably has only 1 or 2 good songs on it.

The artists and companies talk about we are taking money out of their mouths and pockets by downloading online or burning copies for friends...I mean, really? 'Cuz it sure don't look that way from their videos and interviews. Everyone knows that in the business you make your money by going on concert tours and merchandising. I mean, right? Everyone knows that?

Don't get me wrong, depending on the artist, I am willing to shell out the dollars for a whole CD, and that is only if the CD holds more than 10 songs, but for a new artist that just came out or an artist that i am not completely 100% feeling, downloading or burning is the way. Sorry, thats just the way I feel.

By the way, thanks for the new sites: LastFM, Musicstrands, and Upto11. Great sites.

'sup

Well, it's that time to start to wrap things up, huh? Where did I leave off? Lets see, i believe I was going to start writing about one of my favorite lessons. Fun Stuff- Week #7. YAY! Blufr kept me slighty entertained for about 10 minutes, then it was on to Puzzle Player and now I'm addicted. I really, really like word games. Thanks to whoever decided to mention it and submit the link. :-) I also loved Philip Moore from Chug'd and the chicken dance song, classic. I just HAD to become a member. I really shouldn't have, but I couldn't resist. I probably won't remember my password in a couple of weeks anyway. All in all, great Learn 2.0 week.

Week 8 is about sharing. Hmmm, I'm not sure about the whole sharing thing. It may be the whole only child syndrome, I don't know. Naw, I'm just kidding. I'm all about sharing and the only two things we seemed to have shared in my department about Learn 2.0 is about how cool it is and when are we getting our MP3 players. I haven't had to ask anyone for help and no one has asked me for help. We all seem to be moving along ok. We just ask each other if we have done the course yet and what we did/did not like.

I posted about 3 pictures on the Flickr account that I already seemed to have. I am known for signing up for a whole bunch of different craaa...stuff and forgetting about it. It was easier than i thought it was going to be, but I have to admit, I'm still a dropping my film or disposal camera to a Walgreens, type of person. Shame on me. I know, I know.

Well, that's about it for now. My time is up. It is time to goooooooooooooooooooo. Until next time...

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy behind

Ooops! I'll admit, i have been a wee bit lazy with my blogging, but I swear, its just with the blogging part. I have followed the course faithfully. Scouts honor. Where to begin when one is sooooo behind? Lets see, quick rundown. Video ninja- FUNNY. I've heard people refer to it before, but was like "whatever". Shame on me. Lets see, youtube I use daily and I was addicted to myspace for a hot minute, but the fever has gone down. I knew the library had an account, but didn't know exactly how many. I think that is a cool way to reach out and advertise to the public. However, I did not like the profile song... I'm totally lying. The reason I say I did not like it is because it was stuck in my head for 2 days. Not cool, walking aroung, humming, this book is so awesome! Pure madness!!!!!

Did I mention that ELF totally ROCKS! I simply looooooooooooovvvvvveeeeee it. I received a text the other day telling me that I had 1 item due that day. Can we say AMAZING? Well, can we? I also like the detailed emails they send out of what items are checked out, whats on the request list and what is overdue. Nice, very nice. I also played around with the other websites mentioned, but as you can see, Elf is the one that really impressed me. I do have a friend that is trying really hard to convince me to join Shelfari, but... we'll see, we'll see. What should I read next was also a cool and handy site.

I think this covers up to week #6, I'm not sure, but oh well. This blog is lengthy enough, I guess I will finish up with the rest in another day or so. Until then, Adios and good day. I say good day!

too much fun

Who knew it was going to be this much fun? I think I went a little overboard with the RSS feeds, but hey, what the heck. As for Grokker, I really wish I knew about it sooner. I had so much fun searching all the different topics. The map view was okay. I guess it will take a little while to get used to it, but other than that, the site is great.

hmmm

I have a feeling this is going to be a very interesting experience. What is there to say? What can I say? At this time, I choose to remain silent.
